FARMING,
AGRICULTURE
AND FORESTRY

The activities of the Borgo Coe farm are sheep, donkey and hen rearing, and farming with organic cultivation of vines, vegetables and medicinal herbs. Attention to renewable energy, care for the environment and eco-sustainability form the basis of the technological choices made for our buildings. For heating, electricity and hot water, we have adopted solar thermal, photovoltaic and biomass boiler systems. For the biomass boiler we use only wood from the care and maintenance of our own forests.

EDUCATIONAL FARM

At Borgo Coe’s Educational Farm, we aim to share with our little guests the value of traditional farming, and how it connects the environment, agriculture, animal care, nutrition, and health. Our farm offers children the chance to learn about agricultural activities, the life cycle of plants, and both animal and plant life. Through hands-on experiences, they’ll discover the roles of farmers, traditional rural crafts, and the importance of responsible consumption and respect for the environment.
